Beyond the Game
Beyond the game is a new series that I am working on for this channel, with the first half releasing early 2024 and the second half being released when Blind Man plays comes back very soon..

EPISODE 1 THE ORIGINAL RESIDENT EVIL.
Back in 1997 the survival horror genre was in it’s infancy and it could be argued that the Resident Evil games revitalised public interest in the Zombie horror sub genre. Leading to such gaming classics as Left for dead, Dead island and films like 28 days later, Zombieland and the Walking Dead tv series. Resident Evil has been remade and expanded since it’s humble beginnings, but is the original still scary today?
EPISODE 2 THE VANISHING
For this episode I wanted to talk about the Far Cry 6 x Stranger things crossover. Entitled the Vanishing. This was one of those cool little surprises that I had no prior knowledge of. EPISODE 4 THE X FILES VIDEO GAME, A FAILLED EXPERIMENT?
The X FIles video Game released on Playstation and PC in 1998 was a full motion video interactive lost episode staring new characters along with regular cast members. Mulder and Scully are missing. An interesting bit of video game history for sure but, does it suck? Well here are 8 reasons why The X Files Video game was a brilliant but failed experiment!

In this episode. I team up with my good friend David Humphries (Dai for short) for a dose of nostalgia into one of Mario’s best outings setting the standard for many to follow. Not just by Nintendo, but across different platforms.

It can be argued that the original Resident Evil was the beginning of the second great fascination in this horror sub genre, paving the way for games such as left for dead, Silent Hill, Dead Island and many more along with a slew of movies exploring the genre such as 28 days later, Dawn of the dead 2004, land of the dead, diary of the dead and many more.
