New Ghostbusters 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rescue Palooza and the x files are the games explored in this round of let’s plays.
For the moment, this playlist is of the original videos I did for Blind Man Plays. When I was just playing around and seeing what was possible, however it was due to the response of some of these and other videos that I started to think of a gaming channel as a viable project.
So a little bit of a story for you… In 2022, I was going through a rough time, the tensions of the pandemic looming in the air, tensions high as everyone reflects and tries to get back to normal, I had come to a point in my journey where the spiritual side of things was not doing it for me anymore and I needed to explore some options, amidst a personal period of deep dark depression.
I still however loved making videos and at the time was looking into game preservation, emulation, fan games and other oddities online, it was at that point a my nephew suggested I start a gaming channel and share my love of video games.
I had no idea where to begin so just recorded myself playing some games, and put some credits around it in post production and that’s how the below videos were made, it become a form of healing for me, to transfer my skills into a different area entirely. All good except the name change, I suppose as I was unsure about what to call it, and eventually settled on “Blind man plays” Anyway enjoy.
Full disclosure… Yes I am registered blind in the UK constituency of Rhondda Cynon Taff, but I do have some workable vision. 🙂

LETS PLAY TMNT RESCUE PALOOZA
Like most who grew up in the 80s, 90s or early 2000s, I become encapsulated with the tale of 4 turtles who were infected with a Mutagenic Ooze in the sewers beneath New York, and grew into humanoid turtles mentored as Ninjas by their Rat Master “Splinter” for when the day came where they would test their strength against the evil Shredder.
Throughout the different eras of the teenage mutant ninja turtles on screen franchise and to an extent their comic book outings, most fans who got on board during the initial run will remember the video games that come out around those times. Especially the 1989 arcade beat em up, TMNT, and the sequel TMNT Turtles in time.
In 2022 we have seen a resurgence of these classic games and a continuation of the genre with the release of the Cowabunga collection and Shredder’s revenge on all major platforms. Yet it was TMNT Rescue Palooza which seemingly inspired this current crop of turtles goodness hitting the Market.
According to TV Tropes and top hat gamer, Merso X worked using the openBOR (beats of rage) engine to produce an upgraded version of the Manhattan Project which over time become a loving tribute to these games and the TMNT franchise as a whole. In what is essentially a lost episode of the X files set in the third season of the show after Piper Maru and Apocrypha, we step into the shoes of FBI Agent Craig Willmore as he is assigned by Assistant Director Skinner to investigate missing stationary…. I mean Missing FBI agents in the area investigating an unknown case. We see our famed agents enter a warehouse in the opening sequence and we are then straight into the game, investigating the hotel room of which they stayed and may or may not have had sex and then to the warehouse where we confirm that one of the agents has been shot. What has happened to agent Scully and Mulder – we will find out in the coming episodes. 5 Parts
